Many fun events planned for weekend in Washington County

For little ghouls and goblins, there are a variety of Halloween events this weekend to score some candy.
Friday
' 5 to 6:30 p.m.: The City of Wayland will have a Main Street Greet and Treat. There are more than 25 downtown businesses participating. Trick-or-treating and a pumpkin judging competition will take place.
Saturday
' 4 to 7 p.m.: Brighton will be giving free chili, hotdogs and candy at the City Park Pavilion.
' 5 to 7 p.m.: The Washington First Assembly will have a drive-through trunk-or-treat event.
' 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.: Wellman, Kalona and Riverside trick-or-treating.
