Marc Lindeen, Dave Heaton win county contested races

Incumbent Republicans Marc Lindeen (county supervisor) and Dave Heaton (state representative) triumphed in the county contested races on the Nov. 4 general election ballot.

Lindeen, Mt. Pleasant, defeated Salem's Mary Hoyer, 4,096-2,508 while Heaton, Mt. Pleasant, cruised to a 4,979-1,106 victory over Lee Harder of Hillsboro in the State Representative District 84 voting.

County results from some of the major national and statewide races were as follows:

U.S. Senator ? Joni Ernst, R, 4,011; Bruce Braley, D, 2,317.

U.S. Second Congressional District ? Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R, 3,866; Dave Loebsack, D, 2,801.

Iowa Governor, Lt. Governor ? Terry Branstad-Kim Reynolds, R, 4,464; Jack Hatch-Monica Vernon, D, 2,060.
