Marguarite ?Ellen? Tucker, 81, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Danville, died on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at her home.
A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in Pleasant Grove.
Elliott Chapel, in New London, is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial has been established.

Tucker was born on May 5, 1935, in Des Moines, the daughter of Burl and Ila Baker Saltzman. She graduated on June 4, 1953, from East High School, in Des Moines. She then attended Burlington Beauty Academy. She married Darrell William Tucker on June 17, 1956. He preceded her in death.
For 30 years, she owned and operated Style Inn Beauty Salon in her home. She worked on a farm near Danville for 35 years with her husband, where they operated a grain and livestock business. In later years, she and her daughter owned the Country Bumpkins and Sweet Tooth stores in the West Burlington and Davenport mall locations. They also traveled the United States selling homemade country/Made in the USA products at wholesale and retail shows. She was also a doll maker, floral designer, and was a caregiver to individuals with special needs in the Mt. Pleasant area for the last 15 years of her life.
Tucker is survived by one daughter, Connie Lunning, of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Dan (Dana) Tucker, of Dallas City, Ill., and William (Melissa) Tucker, of New London; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (Dennis) Marchael, of Des Moines, and Rosalund Baumgarten, of Ankeny; two brothers, Jim (Edna) Saltzman, of Colfax, and Ron Saltzman, of St. Peter, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Maria; and her brothers, Ivan and Larry.
