Marr Park hosts fishing day
AINSWORTH — An annual fishing derby for disabled community members was held at Marr Park in Ainsworth on Tuesday, June 4.
The fishing day — a collaboration between Washington County Conservation, WCDC and the Kiwanis Club — happens in the first week of June every year.
“The event is something my staff and I look forward to every year,” Washington County Conservation Director Zach Rozmus said. “Although we host the event at Marr Park the Kiwanis group and WCDC are responsible for the planning and facilitation of the event. The event would not be possible without both those organizations dedication and support. Especially Luke Horak and his family.”
