Martelle man arrested on bevy of charges

RIVERSIDE - A Martelle man was arrested early Tuesday morning for a bevy of charges with bond totaling $11,400.
According to the Washington County Communications Media Report, officers at the Washington County Sheriff's office reported being at the Kum & Go in Riverside at about 3:16 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Upon further investigation, it was discovered Jacob Eugene Hansel, 34, of Martelle, was wanted out of Johnson County.
Hansel was arrested off a North Liberty Police Department warrant for assault while displaying a dangerous weapon; driving while barred; criminal mischief in the second degree; seven Jones County warrants for intimidation with a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, provoke or control a firearm/offensive weapon by a felon; three counts of assault; two counts of failure to appear; driving while barred/eluding; failure to have insurance; failure to obey a traffic control device and operating a non-registered vehicle.
Johnson County responded and transported Hansel from the scene on their warrant.
