Dec. 22, 2021 2:40 pm
Jane Fehr was hostess to the November meeting of Questers, with Barbara Wehr as co-hostess. President Marilyn Whitenack opened and all recited the Quester invocation. Roll call was answered by each member telling whether or not they were cooking the Thanksgiving turkey.
Secretary Connie Pence read the minutes and Treasurer Janet Peterson gave the balance on hand, with both reports being approved.
Correspondence was shared from a member thanking them for their card and concern for a fast recovery.
Plans to attend the Terrace Hill Christmas Tea were canceled, but the group hopes to get to State Day on April 22 and 23 in Burlington. That will replace the April meeting.
In new business, the idea of a phone tree was brought up by member Dorothy Miller. This would be to let all members know of sickness, special concerns, etc. where a card might be sent or other action taken, so that everyone would be informed at the same time. Further discussion will be held at a later time.
Jane Fehr motioned to give a donation to the special project of Preservation and Restoration for this year and the motion passed.
Meeting was adjourned and the program for the day was each person telling of a special Thanksgiving, special memory or how they celebrated the holiday at their house.
Barbara Wehr served a delicious assortment of sandwiches, fruit and dessert. Members will not meet again until March 2022.
