Roger and Melody Marvel, of Littleton, along with Steve and Christina Thornton, of Mt. Pleasant, announce the engagement of their children, Danyelle Rinai Marvel to Matthew Steven Whaley.
The couple are planning a wedding in Bloomington, Ill., for May 21, 2016.
Marvel is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor?s in Hotel/Restaurant Management. She is employed as the Assistant Bakery Manager for the Hy-Vee in Waukee. Whaley is a graduate of Indian Hills Community College, in Ottumwa, with a degree in the Culinary Arts. He is a Corporate Restaurant Trainer for the Hy-Vee Market Grilles.
The couple currently lives in West Des Moines.
