Marvin Dale Tebbs
Marvin Dale Tebbs, 85, of Lowell, died on Aug. 17, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in Iowa City.
According to his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no services. Inurnment with a family graveside service will be held at the Lowell Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established. Elliott Chapel, of New London, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marvin Dale Tebbs, 85, of Lowell, died on Aug. 17, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in Iowa City.

Tebbs was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Denmark, the son of Burt and Rachel Maude Smalley Tebbs. He attended Denmark Academy. He married W. Jean Pickle on June 5, 1949, at the Elliott Chapel, in New London.
He worked as a carpenter all of his adult life, building and remodeling numerous homes in the Southeast Iowa area.
He was a member of the Congregational Church of Danville.
He enjoyed working in his garden, hunting game and arrowheads, reading, doing yardwork, and visiting with his friends.
Tebbs is survived by his wife; his daughter, Vicki (David) Stainbrook, of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his half-brother, Carl Carmen, of Burlington; and his half-sisters, Nancy Teal, of Burlington; and Florence Olomon, of New London.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arthur Tebbs; his step-sister, Irene Witte; and a great-granddaughter.
