Mary Lee Donlan, 84, of Middletown, died at 3:15 PM Monday, December 31, 2018, at her home.

Born July 14, 1934, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Robert A. and Edna Zihlman VanDerSnick. On January 6, 1956, she married John "Jack" William Donlan in Oquawka, IL. He died February 24, 2014.

She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and later attended beauty school.

Mary worked as a beautician. She worked for over 40 years for Great River Medical Center in the emergency room, before she retired.

She enjoyed reading, especially Danielle Steel books, crocheting, gambling and traveling with friends and family.

Survivors include one son, Scott "Jack" (Chris Wahl-Levitt) Donlan of Princeton, IL; two daughters, Denise (Tim) Davis of Mediapolis, Tina (Troy Magel) Donlan of Middletown; five grandchildren, Terry Anderson, Misty Brown, Alysha Donlan, Madison Hand, and Kyler Donlan; four great-grandchildren, Jaden, Nakeya, Reyli, and Celine, and one brother, Robert L. "Bobby" (Debbie) VanDerSnick of Mount Pleasant.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, one brother William "Billy" and one sister Joyce Elder.

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with the family to receive friends, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The memorial service for Mrs. Donlan will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz officiating.

A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
