Mary Elizabeth Baker, 86, of Keosauqua, died at 3:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua.
A private graveside service was at 2 p.m. today in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Kevin Mote of Milton Christian Church officiating.
In accordance with Baker?s wishes, there was no visitation.

Mary Elizabeth Baker, 86, of Keosauqua, died at 3:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua.
A private graveside service was at 2 p.m. today in Purdom Cemetery in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Kevin Mote of Milton Christian Church officiating.
In accordance with Baker?s wishes, there was no visitation.

Mrs. Baker was born Aug. 1, 1926 in rural Keosauqua, the daughter of Harvey A. and Cleva Wallis Wiley. She married John P. Davison in Keokuk. They later divorced. She married Walter V. Baker of Keosauqua Jan. 28, 1953.
She lived in Keokuk for a few years. Most of her married life she spent in rural Van Buren County where Walter farmed and she was a farm homemaker.
Survivors include, three sons, William Davison and spouse Ruby of LaBelle, Mo., Bradley Baker and spouse Trudi of Kahoka, Mo., and Brian Baker of Keosauqua; three daughters, Debra Roberts and spouse Ted of Milton, Darla Reynolds and spouse Kenny of Ottumwa and Denise DaVolt and spouse Jeff of rural Keosauqua; one stepson, Walter Baker Jr. and spouse Phyllis of Keokuk; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five sisters and seven brothers.
