Arrests
A fight was reported in the jail, early Tuesday morning at Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Deng Michael Akuar, 27, of Des Moines, was arrested on charges of fifth-degree criminal mischief, assault on persons in certain occupations, and assault on persons in certain occupations causing bodily injury.
Traffic accident
A caller Monday morning at 140th Street and Iowa River Road in Riverside reported that his son was involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident after swerving to miss a deer. The driver was on his way to the hospital with minor injuries. They had contacted a private tow. There was damage to a fence post, and the caller had contacted the owner. An officer responded. The caller was given a state accident report to fill out.
Traffic other
A caller Monday evening at East 14th Street in Washington reported a truck parked on the side of the road in his yard. An officer responded and spoke to a subject, who was going to tell the owner to move the vehicle.
A caller Monday night at Larch Avenue and 315th Street in Washington reported two trucks on the dirt road off 315th Street. They left eastbound past the Coppock Quarry. An officer was advised and was attempting to make contact with the two juveniles about the incident. The officer also intended to consult with the county engineer.
Disabled vehicles
A deputy reported being out checking on a vehicle in a turnaround area, Monday afternoon at Old White Way and Highway 218 in Crawfordsville. The officer advised that they had pulled over to look at the weeds.

Animal complaint
Three callers Monday morning at East Washington Street in Washington reported that two black pitbulls were running loose near the bowling alley. They were picked up by the dog catcher.
Assault
A caller Monday afternoon at Highway 22 in Riverside reported a male subject assaulting a female subject. Subjects left traveling eastbound on Highway 22 in a white Toyota with windows broken out. Two Washington County officers and Johnson County were advised.
A caller Monday afternoon at South Avenue B in Washington reported that a student was attacking a teacher. Three officers responded. The juvenile was charged with simple assault.
Civil standby
A caller Monday morning at Wayland Road in Washington reported being at a civil standby to obtain a key from an ex-employee. Property was obtained without any issues.
Hang-up 911 calls
A hang-up 911 call from a residence was reported, Monday afternoon at Sequoia Avenue in Crawfordsville. There was a busy signal upon return call. An officer spoke with the homeowner. A roofer at the residence had accidentally called. There was no emergency.
Illegal dumping
A caller Monday morning at Walnut Avenue in Riverside wanted to speak with a deputy regarding a possible illegal dumping of trash in the complex. An officer spoke with the caller. A subject was advised of the complaint.
Motor vehicle theft
A caller reported having a deputy out with a vehicle reported stolen through Washington County, Monday morning at Second Avenue Southwest in Cedar Rapids. The vehicle located was a gray two-door 2015 Ford Mustang. The vehicle was cleared from the system.
Suspicious activity
A caller Monday night at South Wiley Boulevard in Washington reported a subject walking in and out of the business. An officer responded and told the subject to move on.
A caller Monday night at East Second Street in Washington reported that a subject walked into her garage and back out. Two officers responded. The male subject was carrying a pack of beer and left westbound. Officers were unable to locate him.
Trespass
A caller Monday night at East Washington Street in Washington reported that a subject was at the business digging through the trash and refusing to leave. An officer responded. He was advised to leave the business.
Vandalism
A caller Monday night at South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported that their trailer had been keyed. An officer responded and spoke with the caller. Documentation was made.
Welfare check
A caller Monday morning at Prospect Place in Washington reported receiving several voice mail threats from a subject, and requested a welfare check of the subject. An officer responded and spoke with the subject. Everything was fine.

A caller Monday morning at North Fourth Avenue in Washington reported a student who ran from school, and they wanted an officer to speak with her. An officer responded and spoke with the student.
A caller Monday night at East Second Street in Washington reported several juveniles playing in the street. An officer responded and advised the subjects to get out of the roadway.
A caller Monday night at Highway 22 in Riverside reported a subject who was refusing to leave the business. Two officers responded and spoke with the subject, who had then left for the night.
