Arrests
An officer reported being out at a residence, Thursday night at South Iowa Avenue in Washington. Tristan Adam Downing, 23, of Washington, was arrested on a Washington County warrant for controlled substance violation and drug distribution violation to person under 18. Bond was $30,000 cash only. The warrant was cleared from the system.
An officer reported being out conducting a search warrant, Thursday night at Tulip Avenue in Riverside. The warrant was executed. Jami Leann TeBockhorst, 21, of Riverside, was arrested on a charge of possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver – marijuana. Lauryn Andrea Weiss, 20, was arrested at the same time and location on a charge of possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver – marijuana.
Traffic accident
A caller Thursday morning at Highway 78 in Brighton reported that he drove his vehicle into the field. There were no injuries. An officer and Moore's Towing responded. The vehicle was pulled out. There were no damages and no charges.
A caller Thursday morning at Highway 22 in Riverside reported a minor backing accident on Highway 22 east of Palm Avenue. Drivers' information was exchanged.
Callers Thursday afternoon at South Seventh Avenue and East Washington Street in Washington reported a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Two officers responded. Vehicle operators were Isaias Yoselt Delgado Atanacio, of Washington, and Margarita Urquizo, of Washington. A state accident report was filed. Delgado Atanacio was issued a citation for failure to yield upon making a left turn.
A caller Thursday night at East Washington Street at South Second Avenue in Washington reported a two-vehicle accident with no injuries by the State Theatre. The vehicles were a Ford Mustang and a Ford pickup. Vehicle operators were Angel Johnson, of Washington, and Brandon Cubbage, of Fairfield. Damages amounted to more than $1,500. A state accident report will be filed.
Traffic other
A caller Thursday morning at Highway 78 in Brighton reported a stop-arm violation that occurred at 7:01 a.m. on May 22, and they had video of the incident. An officer was advised. The report is under investigation.
A caller Thursday night at North Second Avenue in Washington reported that a little red car had the car alarm going off, and requested an officer. An officer checked the area. No car alarms were going off.
Disabled vehicles
A caller Thursday night at Highway 218 in Ainsworth reported that their bus broke down, and requested assistance with traffic control. An officer responded. Another bus picked up the students. The bus would be towed back to the school by Earl's, at the school's request.
A caller early Friday morning at 320th Street and Highway 218 in Crawfordsville reported a broken-down vehicle. An officer responded. Moore's was contacted to tow the vehicle.
An officer reported being out with a vehicle, early Friday morning at Highway 218 and 135th Street in Riverside. The vehicle had a flat tire and was unoccupied. It was added to the system.
Animal complaint
A caller Thursday night at Tulip Avenue in Riverside reported that the neighbor to the north had a loose black dog that was aggressive, and it had damaged flowers at the cemetery. An officer responded. Documentation was made.
A caller early Friday morning at 250th Street in Washington reported that a horse was in the roadway. An officer was unable to locate the horse.
Burglary
A caller Thursday afternoon at East Second Street in Washington reported that a subject was refusing to return their PlayStation 4. An officer spoke with both parties. This was somewhat of a civil matter, but the PlayStation 4 was going to be returned to the caller.
DP & Q
A caller Thursday night at South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported loud music coming from a nearby residence. An officer responded. The music was turned down.
Family offense nonviolent
A caller Thursday afternoon at East Taylor Street in Washington reported that his mother and sisters were harassing him by constantly calling him and arriving at his residence. An officer spoke with the caller and advised that it was a civil matter.
Intimidation/harassment
A caller Thursday night at East Main Street in Washington reported being threatened via text message by a subject in Washington, and requested to speak with an officer. An officer spoke with the caller. It was not harassment. Extra patrol was provided for the caller.
Intoxicated driver
A caller Thursday morning at Highway 1 South in Washington reported that a male subject was passed out in a vehicle, possibly intoxicated. Two officers responded. The subject was not intoxicated, and moved on.
Motor vehicle theft
A caller Thursday afternoon at North Marion Avenue and West Main Street in Washington reported that she could not locate her Chevrolet Cruze, tan in color, that she parked on the west side of the square. She requested an officer. The vehicle was located.
Search warrant
An officer reported conducting a search warrant, early Friday morning at Tulip Avenue in Riverside. The search warrant was completed.
Suspicious activity
A caller Thursday night at East River Street in Riverside reported that someone put grease on their brake pedal. An officer was advised. Documentation was made.
A caller Thursday night at East Third Street in Washington reported a female walking around on private property, looking suspicious. She appeared to be in her 40s, wearing jeans and a plaid shirt and carrying a purse. An officer spoke with the female subject, who was going to be on her way.
Trespass
A caller Wednesday night at West Third Street and North Avenue F in Washington reported that there were juveniles on the railroad trestle on West Third by Hayes Timber, and requested an officer. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate the juveniles.
A caller Thursday night at Spruce Avenue in Ainsworth reported that the insurance salesman was back at her residence, knocking on the door. She spoke with them earlier in the week and told them to leave and not come back. The caller requested a deputy because their daughter was home alone. Subjects were located. There were conflicting stories. Possible charges would be filed if the caller could identify one of the subjects in the truck as the same subject she told to leave and not return.
A caller Thursday night at East Madison Street in Washington reported that he had someone 'squatting” in the garage on his rental property. He had threatened to shoot the caller. He had a female there with him. An officer spoke with the caller. It was a civil issue.
A caller Thursday night at East Washington Street in Washington reported that her youngsters saw a male subject messing in a nearby dumpster by the maintenance shed. He was a white male, tall, wearing a black or green hat and carrying a backpack. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate anyone.
Vandalism
A caller Thursday morning at Lexington Boulevard in Washington reported vandalism at Willow Pond behind the jail, for documentation purposes.
All other theft
A caller Thursday night at Parkside Estates Road in Washington reported that a neighbor, a youngster, came onto her property and stole her son's bicycle. It was a lime-green bike with a gold spoke in the back wheel. The bike was located at a neighboring lot. It was just a misunderstanding. The neighbor believed the bike was his. The bike was returned.
All other theft
A caller Wednesday morning at East Madison Street in Washington reported a gas drive-off of $60. They left southbound on Iowa. They did try to pay at the pump, and it didn't work. An officer was advised. Dispatch made contact with the subject, and they would return and pay.
All other offenses
A caller Wednesday morning at South Avenue B in Washington reported a possible fight in one of the classrooms in the east wing. Two officers responded. Juvenile females were in the office area upon the officers' arrival. The incident was verbal only and would be handled within the school.
