McKain’s Bridge project underway

On Wednesday, a repair project began on Dogwood Avenue at McKain’s Bridge.
This project will require the closure of Dogwood Avenue during normal working hours.
The project is expected to last up to two days, weather permitting, while Washington County road crews complete the work.
While Dogwood Avenue is under construction, the road will be closed to thru traffic. Drivers will need to go around and use Highway 1 to access the town of Brighton.
The work for this project will involve repairing of the transition from the roadway to the bridge and then back to the roadway.
