Meet 2021 Iowa Pork Queen Leah Marek of Riverside
Leah Marek is a freshman at Iowa State University in Ames, where she is majoring in biology and global resource systems. She is the daughter of Timothy and Heather Marek of Riverside in Washington County.
After graduation, she plans to work in foreign relations for an international company, to help solve agriculture and health problems worldwide.
Leah is part of a six-generation diversified grain and livestock farm. Her grandpa was named an Iowa Master Pork Producer in 1984, and the family operation has since evolved to focus on raising show pigs. Off the farm, she has served as president and vice president of her 4-H club, and secretary and treasurer of her local FFA chapter.
