Michael Kevin Heitmeier

Michael Kevin Heitmeier, 50, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on January 4th, 2017, at 12:31 a.m., at Bay Front Medical Center Hospice, due to battling a lengthy fight against cancer.

Mike was born on February 16th, 1966. He was the son of Larry D. Sr. and Janice J. (Jackson) Heitmeier.

He attended school at Winfield/Mt. Union. He later moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he resided his entire adult life. There he worked as a tree surgeon for Bay City.

Michael is survived by long time companion, Debra Bentler, of St. Petersburg, FL; Debra?s one daughter, Cassie; two grandchildren; many siblings named as followed, Larry D. Jr. (Kelly) Heitmeier, of Hillsboro, IA; Tammy Heitmeier, of Burlington, IA; Tena (Scott) Shumaker, of Wayland, IA; Raymond (Robin) Heitmeier, of New London, IA; 5 nieces; 7 nephews; and 7 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry D. Sr. and Janice J. (Jackson) Heitmeier; and one sister, Terri Hurlbutt.

Michael?s body has been cremated. Because of the distance between his residence and his families? residences, the Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
