Mr. Smith was born Aug. 15, 1960, in Des Moines, the son of Garrett and Myrna Brittain Smith.
He was raised in Fairfield
He enjoyed outdoor activities, going to the State Line Rallies in Keosauqua and spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of Abate District 14. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his youth, hunting and debating.
He worked for NAPA, in construction as a heavy machinery operator, was a liquor store owner and a skid steer operator for Harold Pohren.
Survivors include two sons, Beau B. Smith and spouse Nicole of Fairfield and Tyrel R. Smith and spouse Erika of Keosauqua; one grandchild: his mother, of Keokuk; and three siblings, Marcy Peck of Lockridge, Michelle Smith of Stockport and Matt Smith of Keokuk. ??
He was preceded in death by his father.
