Missouri man abandons car, attempts to flee on foot
MT. PLEASANT - A Missouri man attempted to flee from police on foot after abandoning a car on Wednesday afternoon.
Trent Saltzman, 44, drove his vehicle onto a driveway on South Locust Street and left on foot after law enforcement officers attempted to perform a vehicle stop, according to a release from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
The vehicle rolled backward after Saltzman fled. Saltzman was detained after running into a nearby yard and was treated for an arm injury before being taken to Henry County Jail.
Locally, Saltman was charged with fraudulent registration, no driver's license, interference with official acts, and possession of marijuana. Saltzman also has active warrants in Missouri.
No property damage was caused by the incident.
