MOPS-Winfield Food Pantry to hold food/WMU school drive

MOPS-Winfield Food Pantry is asking for your help. A food and school supply drive will be held to benefit the Winfield-Mt. Union School District and the Winfield Food Pantry. The drive will begin Thursday, July 20, and run through Aug. 8.
Donations that will benefit the food pantry include toilet paper, canned fruit and vegetables, cereals, canned meat, boxed meals, peanut butter, ramen noodles, elbow macaroni, spaghetti, soups, boxed pudding, and Jell-O, flour tortillas, taco shells, saltines, and graham crackers.
Donations may be dropped off at the Methodist Church in Winfield on Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. or at the Wayland State Bank or Pilot Grove Bank, both in Winfield between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. They can also be taken to the Winfield Veterans Building on Saturday, Aug. 5 or Sunday, Aug. 6 during Crooked Creek Days.
Donations for the Winfield-Mt. Union Students include backpacks, #2 pencils, erasers, crayons, pens (blue, black & red) notebook paper, folders, Elmer’s glue, one subject spiral notebook, scissors, pencil boxes, highlighters. A complete list of items needed is available at the WMU School or at either of the local banks. Any non-perishable food or toiletry items are welcome.
