More than 5,000 recover from COVID-19 in Iowa, numbers and death count still climb

A recorded 5,011 individuals have recovered from COVID-19 in Iowa, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH). However, the state saw 214 more cases and nine deaths on Saturday bringing the total of infected individuals to 11,671 and the death count to 252.
Locally, Washington County saw one new case bringing ts its total to 156, three more in Henry County make for 43 and Jefferson County has not seen any new cases in several days, leaving its total at 6. According to the IDPH 41 percent of those infected are adults aged 18-40.
