Motorcyclist collides with railroad stop arm in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — A man was injured over the weekend when he collided with a railroad stop arm in Fairfield.
The man, 58-year-old Jackie Hagans II of Fairfield, was traveling south on a motorcycle on North Fourth Street in Fairfield on Saturday, May 28, when he collided with the railroad stop arm.
An ambulance and law enforcement officers were called to the scene. The railroad was temporarily shut down, causing an Amtrak train to stop in Fairfield.
Hagans received medical attention. He was cited for driving under suspension (simple misdemeanor) and failure to prove insurance (simple misdemeanor).
