MP eighth-grade boys defeat Aldo Leopold, Fairfield

The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade boys? basketball team defeated Aldo Leopold last week and came out on top of Fairfield this week in their ?A? games.

The Panthers defeated Aldo Leopold (Burlington) by a score of 40-25 in the A game, led by Zach Ebeling with 12 points.

Patrick Canby also scored in double figures, putting up 10 points. Brock Wilson, Ryan Moutrie and Trevor Mabeus each chipped in six points.

In the ?B? game, Mt. Pleasant lost a close one, 26-23. Ben Zihlman had seven points for the Panthers and Tyler Davis contributed four.

In the ?C? game, Mt. Pleasant won, 12-9. Jared Holdefer had six points and Reece McNamee scored four.

When they took on the Trojans this week, the Mt. Pleasant A team won a 47-18 decision.

Canby and Wilson each scored 14 points while Moutrie added 11. Ebeling tallied six and Levi Parkevich chipped in two.

In the B game, Mt. Pleasant defeated Fairfield, 25-14, led by John Anderson?s seven points. Nolan Quade added six and Zihlman scored four.

Fairfield topped Mt. Pleasant in the C game, 7-4. McNamee had all four Mt. Pleasant points.

The Panthers will host Washington tonight (Thursday) at 4:30 p.m.
