MP girls? golf takes second at Keokuk
KEOKUK ? The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team spent yesterday at the Keokuk Tournament, where the Panthers took second place of five teams.

KEOKUK ? The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team spent yesterday at the Keokuk Tournament, where the Panthers took second place of five teams.
Natalie Booton led the Panthers with a score of 96 (45, 51) on the par-72 course. Lindsay Dorn shot a 99 (51, 48) on the day, and Courtney Mabeus shot a 102 (51, 51). The best-ball team of Danika Christner and Emily Cox shot a 92 (46, 46), and the Panthers finished with a team score of 389.
Both the medalist and runner-up medalist were from Washington. Abby Threlkeld shot an 84 (44, 40) on the day, and Shannon Paul finished with a score of 94 (50, 44). Washington won the tournament with a team score of 365.
Burlington scored a 405 for third place, ahead of Keokuk (433) and Holy Trinity (474).
?It?s was good for us to compete against these teams, as we will be especially battling Washington and Keokuk throughout the season,? Coach Jim Kelly said.
The Panther girls will golf again on Monday, when they host Burlington and Muscatine at the Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club, starting at 3:15 p.m.
