MP girls? tennis falls to Keokuk, boys dominate in meet against Fairfield
The Mt. Pleasant girls? tennis team lost a 7-2 meet against still-undefeated Keokuk, while the boys? team picked up a decisive win over Fairfield on Tuesday.
Mt. Pleasant?s wins came from Becca Lehman, 8-6, and from Emily Hatfield, 8-3.
They are now 5-2 on the season.

The Mt. Pleasant girls? tennis team lost a 7-2 meet against still-undefeated Keokuk, while the boys? team picked up a decisive win over Fairfield on Tuesday.
Mt. Pleasant?s wins came from Becca Lehman, 8-6, and from Emily Hatfield, 8-3.
They are now 5-2 on the season.
The Panther boys? team (5-5 on the season) got singles wins from Zach Schmitz (6-2, 6-3); Matt Zihlman (6-2, 6-3); Tyler Pace (6-2, 6-1); Blake Wickham (3-6, 6-0, 10-8); and Austin Meyer (6-1, 6-4).
In doubles, all three Panther teams won. Chase Higginbotham and Schmitz paired up for a 6-3, 7-6 victory. Zihlman and Pace also picked up a win (6-2, 6-1), and so did Wickham and Meyer (6-0, 6-1).
The boys meet at Davis County, scheduled for tonight, has been cancelled; they will play at the SEC Tournament in Keokuk at 9 a.m. on Monday.
The girls? team plays its conference tournament at Fairfield on Monday at 9 a.m.
