MP man arrested for driving on suspended license
A Mt. Pleasant man was recently arrested for driving on a suspended license.
Scott Alan Andrew, of Mt. Pleasant, was arrested after a Henry County Sheriff's Deputy pulled Andrew over for speeding on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. The traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and Marsh Avenue. Andrew was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Beretta.

Scott Alan Andrew, of Mt. Pleasant, was arrested after a Henry County Sheriff?s Deputy pulled Andrew over for speeding on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. The traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of U.S. Highway 34 and Marsh Avenue. Andrew was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Beretta.
According to a news release, Deputies discovered Andrew had a suspended license. Andrew was then placed under arrest for driving with a suspended Iowa driver?s license and was transported to the Henry County Jail. Andrew was also given a citation for speeding, driving without a valid driver?s license and failing to provide proof of insurance.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
