MP man being held on $100k bond for selling, possessing drugs

A Mt. Pleasant man was charged with delivery of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and counts of tax stamp violation as the result of a search warrant executed by the Henry County Sheriff's Office on March 6.
Dagan Whaley, 35, of Mt. Pleasant was charged with three counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine over 5 grams, a Class B felony; one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, a Class D felony; and four counts of Tax Stamp violation, a Class D felony. The search warrant was executed at 1918 West Courtland Street in Mt. Pleasant.
Whaley is currently being held in the Henry County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office was assisted in the investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Mt. Pleasant Police Department and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
