MP police looking for suspect who tried to entice child

Mt. Pleasant?s Police Department is investigating an attempted child enticement case that occurred this week near Old Threshers.

The suspect was identified as being 50-60 years of age with short gray hair and a long gray beard. He was wearing a black jacket or shirt with zippers on the side, black pants with a zipper on the side and black dress shoes. The suspect was not wearing a hat or any jewelry.

His vehicle was described as a robin egg blue minivan. It had tinted windows and a dent above the back tire on the driver?s side. It possibly had a white license plate, according to the police report.

The suspect asked the witness to help him find his dog and asked the witness to come to his house and see if the dog was there.
