Two subjects were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Tuesday after a station wagon vs. semi accident at Ginkgo and 190th.
At about 8:04 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Deborah Barnes of Mt. Pleasant was traveling eastbound on Ginkgo in a Buick station wagon. According to the report, the vehicle failed to obey the stop sign. Her vehicle was struck broadside by a Kenworth semi driven by Gerry Miles of Wayland.
According to the report, the station wagon was totaled while the semi received minor damage to the front area.
Washington Ambulance, Wellman Rescue and Ambulance, West Chester QRS and Iowa Department of Transportation responded. Citations are pending.
