Although daytime temperatures recently won?t break any records, combined with sunshine, they are warm enough to melt snow and ice on roadways. That leads to freezing, though, during nighttime hours. Consequently, Mt. Pleasant Public Works Department employees have been busy during the morning hours spreading a sand/salt mixture on city streets to make the streets and intersections safe.
