Mt. Pleasant band takes first at Parade of Champions
The Mount Pleasant High School Panther Marching Band took first place honors in Class 4A at the 30th annual Parade of Champions field show competition at Clark County High School in Kahoka, Missouri, on Oct. 9. The band also won two of the three caption awards given in their class, for Best Color Guard and Best Drumline. A total of 1,306 musicians from 16 schools participated in the event. Mount Pleasant will be participating in the Iowa High School Music Association’s Marching Band Festival on Oct. 16 at Brady Street Stadium in Davenport. Their performance time is 1:30 pm.
