Mt. Pleasant cemetery fall clean up in full swing
The month of October is fall clean up for Mt. Pleasant?s city cemeteries - Forest Home and Old City.
City officials ask that all decorations that were placed in the cemetery during the spring and summer be removed by Monday, Oct. 31.
All decorations, except permanent plantings or decorations affixed to monuments, shall be removed by the lot owner, according to city ordinance. The ordinance goes on to say shepherd ...

City officials ask that all decorations that were placed in the cemetery during the spring and summer be removed by Monday, Oct. 31.
All decorations, except permanent plantings or decorations affixed to monuments, shall be removed by the lot owner, according to city ordinance. The ordinance goes on to say shepherd hooks will no longer by stored at the cemetery maintenance facility, but will be the owner?s responsibility to store their hooks.
Items not removed will be disposed of by city personnel.
