Mt. Pleasant City Council meets today

Mt. Pleasant City Council members are expected to award the contract for the runway lighting project.
The council will host a public hearing on the project during its 5:30 p.m. meeting at City Hall and then award the project.
Other tentative agenda items include a public hearing and resolution approving an amendment of the fiscal 2015-16 budget; second reading of proposed ordinance increasing sewer fees; approval of a contract for demolition of property at 710 E. Henry St.; and approval of the renewal of a rental agreement (central office) with the Mt. Pleasant Community School District.
The council also will authorize the sale of a lot at 308 N. Hamlin and approve a contract for the updating of the city?s comprehensive plan.
