The Mt. Pleasant eighth-grade girls? basketball team won their final game of the season when they hosted Washington on Thursday night and claimed a 30-14 victory over the Demons.
The Panthers took a 10-1 lead in the first quarter and were up 13-8 at halftime.
They held Washington scoreless in the third quarter to go up 26-8 and held on from there for the win.

Rylee Amos was the high-scorer for Mt. Pleasant, putting up seven points.
Bailey Johnson was right behind, scoring six points for the Panthers.
Genna Cristoforo and Allison Buckert each tallied four points on the night, and the Sarah Moffett added three.
Jade Christensen, Ashley Schinstock and Lexie Little contributed two points apiece.
Because Washington had only eight players, the teams did not play a ?B? game.
