The Mt. Pleasant girls? tennis awards banquet was held on Wednesday in the MPCHS Commons.
Special award winners are pictured. From left, Aline Thiengmany (Most Improved JV Player), Emily Hatfield (Co-Most Victorious and Co-Most Improved Player), Ashton Whaley (Co-Most Improved Player), Taylor Beatty (Co-Most Victorious Player) and Shelby Barton (Captain).
Hatfield and Beatty each had 11 wins this season, leading the team in that category. Beatty was also the team?s lone conference champion, winning the No. 1 singles tournament.
Players were also recognized for receiving varsity letters, including Barton, who earned her fourth. Other letterwinners were Beatty (3), Becca Lehman (3), Tasha Glover (2), Hatfield (2), Raeanna Crile (2), and Whaley.
