Mt. Pleasant man arrested on multiple charges

In late August and September, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received reports of suspicious activity in the 1900 and 2000 blocks of West Courtland Street in Mt. Pleasant.

The sheriff’s office received a report of stolen tires and catalytic converters from a vehicle in the 1900 block of East Green Street in Mt. Pleasant on Sept. 22.

Following an investigation, an search warrant was issued in the 400 block of East Green Street at approximately 6:25 p.m.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Salvator Middono Jr., 33 of Mt. Pleasant. Middono was charged with Possession of Stolen Property/Theft 3rd (aggravated misdemeanor); Ongoing Criminal Conduct (Class B felony); Drug tax stamp violation (Class D felony); Keeping Premise for Controlled Substance possessing/usage (aggravated misdemeanor); Hemp inhalation violation (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor).

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
