A Mt. Pleasant man received several misdemeanor citations after police found his vehicle in the ditch.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office responded to a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of Hickory Avenue and 265th street on Tuesday, July 21, around 3:07 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, Matthew Schumann, 26, of Mt. A Mt. Pleasant man received several misdemeanor citations after police found his vehicle in the ditch.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office responded to a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of Hickory Avenue and 265th street on Tuesday, July 21, around 3:07 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, Matthew Schumann, 26, of Mt. Pleasant, was cited for failure to maintain control, no insurance and expired registration, all of which are simple misdemeanors.
Damages were estimated over $1,500 and a state accident report was completed.
Further charges are pending.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
