Mt. Pleasant named district baseball host
The Mt. Pleasant baseball team has been assigned to Substate 5 and named a district tournament host.
There are eight teams in Substate 5, which will be divided into two, four-team districts. District pairings will be announced the week of July 2.

Joining the Panthers in Substate 5 are familiar SEC teams ? Fairfield, Ft. Madison, Keokuk and Washington ? along with Grinnell, Oskaloosa and Williamsburg. Oskaloosa was also named a district host.
The location of the substate final is yet to be determined.
The Panthers are currently 12-9 overall on the season and lead the Southeast Conference with a record of 6-2.
