Nov. 4, 2021 9:27 am
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department will be holding its annual toy drive again this year.
The department is currently looking for families that might need assistance this holiday season. If it's preferred, families may call anonymously.
Parents' and children's names are needed, along with an address and phone number. Anyone 18 years or older will not be considered.
Families that were on the list last year will be unable to sign up this season.
This drive is for local residents only.
The toy drop-off location is in the lobby of the Mt. Pleasant Police Department. The lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The department is working alongside the Fellowship Cup and Community Action with the toy drive. If participants have signed up with one of the other organizations, they will not be eligible for the department's drive.
Toy distribution will begin on Dec. 22. Parents will be given a notice of when to pick up their toys.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department can be reached at 319-385-1450 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
