The Mt. Pleasant Police Department will be conducting its annual toy drive.
The department is looking for names of families who may need assistance this year. Families may be called in anonymously. The department will need the parent?s name, address and phone number as well as the name and ages of children.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department will be working with the Fellowship Cup and Community Action to make sure all families receive what they need. If a family is signed up with one of the other organizations they will not be eligible for the department?s toy drive. This toy drive is for local residents only.
As this is a toy drive, the police department will not take anyone 18-years-old and above.
There will be a toy drop off in the lobby at the Mt. Pleasant Police Department. The lobby is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Toy distribution will be Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016. Parents will be called and informed of a time to come to the Police Department to pick up toys.
Call the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, at 319-385-1450, to sign up. The department asks calls be made between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
