Mt. Pleasant school board recognizes retirees

MT. PLEASANT -- At the Mt. Pleasant school board meeting Monday night, Superintendent John Henriksen recognized longtime employees of the district that are retiring after this school year.
Those retiring include Meredith Scott, Sue Weiss, Carroll Smith, Cheryl and Terry Payne, Cindy Sparrow and Kristi Emerson.
Terry Payne took the award for longest time serving the district with 49 years. Meredith Scott and Cheryl Payne came in second with 40 years each.
“Thank you so much from the board, we greatly appreciate all the services you have provided over the years,” said school board President Jennifer Crull.
