Mt. Pleasant utilities office closes for now

MT. PLEASANT - The Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities closed their offices beginning on Thursday in response to Gov. Reynold's most recent proclamation as well as rising coronavirus case numbers in Henry County.

The company will keep its front lobby open for customers to make payments or sign up for service and ask customers to put cash payments in the gold payment box inside of the lobby. Change will not be available.

Customers can continue to make credit or debit card payments through the phone by calling 319-385-2121 and pressing option 2. Any questions can also be directed to the same number.

The utilities drop box has been temporarily moved across the street due to resurfacing the parking lot. The parking lot is expected to be completed by early next week and the drop box will be moved back near its previous location.
