Apr. 18, 2021 2:57 pm
The Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities is in the process of completing a planned water main replacement project in the 200- to 300- blocks of West Monroe Street and the 100 block of N. Jackson Street. The project began on April 6 and is expected to take 30 days, weather permitting.
This project is part of a city street improvement project set to begin in mid-May. During this time, it will be necessary to close the westbound lane of West Monroe Street from the intersection of Jefferson to the intersection of White Street. The project will include a portion of the 100 block of N. Jackson Street.
During the project, the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities will make every effort to allow access to portions of the construction area when possible. For questions or additional information, please call the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities at 319-385-2121.
