Mt. Pleasant woman charged with burglary and stalking

MT. PLEASANT - A Mt. Pleasant woman was charged with second degree burglary and stalking, along with a host of other charges following several investigations by the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
Amanda Gorrell, 41, of Mt. Pleasant, was seen entering a residence on West Railroad St. in Mt. Union on March 18. The Henry County Sheriff's Office was notified of the incident at approximately 8:42 p.m., and upon arrival on scene, found Gorrell had already fled, according to the news release from the Sheriff's Office.
Following an investigation into the incident, as well as related incidents, Gorrell was taken into custody and charged with burglary, stalking, trespassing and two counts of third degree harassment.
The sheriff's office notes they were assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, West Burlington Police Department, Lee County Sheriff's Office and members of the general public during the investigation.
