WASHINGTON — High school students will perform the stage adaptation of the 1934 Agatha Christie mystery novel “Murder on the Orient Express” this weekend after several months spent in rehearsals.
Director Brett Pierson said the show was a great fit for the cast.
“It’s something I felt would work well for the students we have,” he said. “The unique talents, the accents, the general subject matter’s something I think they’ll do well with, balancing humor and drama … they were very excited when they heard the announcement of the show, and since then they’ve thrown themselves into the process of putting the production together.”
Washington High School students will perform the play at the Washington Area Performing Arts Center Hansen Auditorium. The performances are on Nov. 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
