'My Father's War'
Thursday was opening night of ?My Father?s War,? which is being presented by the Mt. Pleasant Community Theatre. The play features Bill Tyrrell as the historical narrator and Ray Vens as Lt. Charles W. Smith. The original production is taken from actual transcripts of love letters Smith sent home to his sweetheart, Alma.

The play can be seen at the Heatilator Performing Art Center March 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. All profits go to Freedom Flight of Eastern Iowa.
