Winfield Implement achieved a Circle of Excellence Award from John Deere in sales, parts, and service in 1997 thanks to the hard work of the Team Winfield. The team consisted of Jeff Suter, Jerry Hill, Dick Nelson, Jerry Steele, Gary Grelk, and Mike Meth.
John Deere has had a presence in Winfield since 1932 thanks to names like Neil Hillyard, Jerry Steele, and Dave Tandy who will present on the history of John Deere in the community Saturday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Occasions on Oak.
At Occasions on Oak, which was once a location of the John Deere dealer, Hillyard Implement, attendees to the event will enjoy tractors displayed by a local tractor club and other community members before learning of the rich history of the brand in Winfield.
After the presentation attendees may stay for a freewill donation lunch.
