New COVID-19 cases in Washington and Jefferson counties

Washington County saw a bigger jump in cases of COVID-19 than it has in a few weeks. The county reported seven new cases according to Iowa Department of Public Health data, bringing the county total to 170 cases of COVID-19.

Jefferson County reported two new confirmed cases of the virus according to IDPH data. Henry County saw no new cases on Saturday.

Across the state there were 279 new confirmed cases, bringing Iowa's total to 14,328. Additionally, there were also 10 new deaths, bringing the total number of Iowans who have died due to the COVID-19 virus to 346.

Overall, 96,300 Iowans have been tested for the virus which is equal to every one out of every 33 Iowans being tested.

6,927 Iowans have been confirmed recovered.
