New Dollar Super Store will open in Fairfield Aug. 3

The Dollar Super Store is opening Aug. 3 in Fairfield.

It is located next to Econo Foods where the Save-A-Lot food store used to be. The store sells personal items; food, toys, cleaning supplies, school supplies, gift cards, dishes and more. Everything is $1.19.

      Dollar Store Services, which has offices in Nevada, sets up these stores for people who want to run their own business. Don Forman, a manager at Dollar Store Services, is setting up the Fairfield store.

      There are 120,000 products in the store now and another 30,000 items on the way. Many of these items come from close-out sales of major companies and include brand names such as Maybelline and Pokémon. Many of the products are imported.

      "The Dollar Super Store offers a wide variety of products and unlike the other dollar stores, it offers a nicer presentation of the merchandise," says Foreman.
