New London plans softball send-off
New London Community High School has planned a send-off for the softball team as it heads to the state tournament in Ft. Dodge on Sunday.
The team is leaving from the school at 1:30 p.m. For the send off, parents and community members can arrive at 1:15 p.m. to line the 100 block of Main Street in New London. Fire trucks and a police car will escort the team vans out of town.

The Tigers play their first state game on Monday at 1:30 p.m. against Martensdale-St. Mary?s. Look for a game preview in tomorrow?s Mt. Pleasant News.
