The Mt. Pleasant Area Development Commission has announced its partnership with a new Southeast Iowa Regional website.
The dashboard was developed to bring people up to date on a plethora of demographics about the region.
The counties included are Henry, Lee, Louisa, and Des Moines.
Dana Millard, who is the Economic Development Project Director with Lee County Economic Development, came up with the idea.
Mt. Pleasant Camber Alliance Executive Vice President Kristi Perry said that Millard took it upon herself to create the website.
“We have a regional effort where we all work together,” Perry said. “Dana took it upon herself to do a regional website so that if someone is looking for a property in Southeast Iowa and they can’t find what they want with one of us individually, they can look at our area.”
The intent is to bring people to Southeast Iowa and keep those citizens who already live in the region here.
An abundance of other information can be found on the website, too, not just property and building data.
Workforce and industry data can also be found on the site. This information includes the number of jobs broken up into their perspective industry, along with the average wage of workers in that industry.
Other information featured includes businesses around the area, infrastructure information like transportation and maps.
The final section, called quality of life that covers education and living in the region.
