New walkways in Salem
Just a few weeks after the Salem City Council approved a contract with Barton Construction to replace the existing sidewalks in the park, work is progressing at a rapid pace. Just a few weeks after the Salem City Council approved a contract with Barton Construction to replace the existing sidewalks in the park, work is progressing at a rapid pace. Shown in the photo is work on the north side of the square with only the west side of the square remaining to be done before sodding. The goal was to have the sidewalks ready for the July dedication of the new Veterans Memorial and have the park completely ready for the Old Settlers Reunion the last full weekend of August.
